Dolphy Project for Adolphus Daniel Jr. – A Mission to Allow Super Talents to Shine

The U.S. College Board received and is still receiving huge criticism for rejecting an application of a 9-year-old boy named Adolphus Daniel Jr. for appearing for the SAT tests and banning him from taking the tests. The boy is from Trinidad and Tobago, and would have been the first ever 9-year old to give the SAT tests should have he been permitted to give the exam. In opposition to the U.S. College Board decision, a project named The Dolphy Project has been started which is going to be a revolutionary movement.

Dream of a 9-year-old Shattered

Adolphus Daniel Jr. is educated at home and is so talented that he could have attained a great 800 score in one of the tests at least. For those who might not know, SAT is a test that is compulsory to be given for those who want an admission to a college in the USA, while College Board is a non-profit private organization in the country. Potential scores for SAT range between 400 and 1600, combining results of tests from 2 800-point sections, viz. Critical Reading and Writing and Mathematics.

Adolphus Daniel Jr. is brilliant enough to score 800 points in SAT test and if he would have given the test he would have been the youngest child to pass the SAT test. But his dream was shattered because of the cruel decision of the College Board, who refused to allow him to give the test on the grounds that “he was too young”.

The Dolphy Project

The Dolphy Project has been created as a community channel and platform to bring such bans to the notice of the public and try to remove them so that a way to excellent education can be opened for all children from around the world.

The mission of the Dolphy Project is to prevent what has happened with Adolphus Daniel Jr. from happening to any other child again!

Let’s wish the best luck to the Dolphy Project and wish that the super talents across the world would get the due respect and scope to come forth and shine!
